Cast Biographies

Steve Bales is employed by Formosa and a very proud grandpa of five! Steve is the recipient of the 1999 PLMST Best Supporting Actor Award for his portrayal of the villain Stafford Blackman in the musical melodrama No, No A Million Times, No!, and he received the 2001 Best Supporting Actor Award for his role in Over The River and Through the Woods. In addition to periodically performing with the PLMST, Steve is an active member of the Calhoun County Civic Choir. Other PLMST performances include Pirates of Port Lavaca, The Heiress, Camp Christmas I & II, Meet Me in St Louis, Heaven Can Wait, Curious Savage, Scapino, Moon Over Buffalo, Our Town, Over The River and Through the Woods, Deadwood Dick, Face on the Barroom Floor, Bottoms Up, Barefoot in the Park, Dirty Work at the Crossroads, Daddy’s Dyin’  and Over the River and through the Woods (2009).

Ken Barnes, in his other life, is a Mechanical Designer at G&W Engineers in Port Lavaca. He is father to Ryan (14), Dylan (12), Clinton (11), and Zoe (4). Ken is past Vice-chairman of the PLMST Board of Directors, and brings a long history of production experience into his shows. A few of his many MST acting roles include The Foreigner, Texas Tacky, Godspell, The Glass Menagerie, Plaza Suite, and Everyone Loves Opal. Directing Credits include Moon Over Buffalo, Faith County, No, No, A Million Times No, Our Town, and Making A Killing. Ken has also worked as stage manager or lighting technician for many past MST productions. Long time MST audiences will remember him as Director and Actor in Scapino! way back in 1996 and again in 2002. Ken also appeared under his own direction in 2001's The Odd Couple. Ken was awarded the 1999 Best Actor award for his portrayal of Roy Hubley in Plaza Suite and again in 2002 for Scapino!

Ronny Best is a Port Lavaca native and an emmployee of Calhoun County Pct No. 2. Previous shows include: The Pirates of Port Lavaca, Everybody Loves Opal, Harvey, The Odd Couple, Scapino! (2002), Bottoms Up!, Deadwood Dick, Sorry Wrong Chimney, Rumors, Face on the Barroom Floor,The Odd Couple (Female Version), Dirty Work at the Crossroads, Daddy’s Dyin’ , Kitchen Witches, Ghost of a Chance and A Company of Wayward Saints. Ronny received the 2002 Best Supporting Actor Award for his performance in Faith County II.

Pam Causey recently moved to Port Lavaca from Granbury, TX with her husband, Kenneth. They have one son and will be new grandparents in January. She is employed by the City of Port Lavaca, where she met Jody Weaver who got her interested in trying out for MainStreet Theatre. This will be her debut performance with MainStreet and her first performance since high school.

Mark Daigle is the Chief Deputy for the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office. Mark enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with his wife Pat and their sons Clay and Logan. PLMST performances include Cheaper By the Dozen, Best Laid Plans, A Bad Year for Tomatoes, and Harvey. Mark was awarded the 2000 season Best Supporting Actor award for his role of Piney in A Bad Year for Tomatoes.

Crystal Dawdy (Crystal) �Crystal is making her debut on the MST stage.

She has been employed as a Choir Director for past 3 years in Calhoun County.

 

She is a proud mother to two daschunds, Mollie Abigail and Rufus MacDoodlebug Dawdy. She graduated from SWT in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music Education. She began her teaching career in Calhoun County where she grew up. She teaches choir at Travis Middle School and assists at CHS. She also teaches music at Port O�Connor Elementary and Point Comfort Elementary. Her past theatre experience has been at SWT where she performed scenes from Little Shop of Horrors, Les Mis, West Side Story, Oklahoma, and Guys and Dolls.

 

Tania French is the Editor and Publisher for the Port Lavaca Wave. She is active in the Calhoun County Civic Chorus and sings in her church choir and praise band. She serves as treasurer of the Calhoun County Crime Stoppers board and is a member of the board of The Harbor. Many area Wave subscribers often enjoy the antics Tania scribes in her column where her three daughters, along with her husband, most often become targets -- er, subjects. Deadwood Dick is her debut performance on the MST stage.

Derrek Gohlke He loves to play basketball. Recently, he made his second trip to the Home School National Basketball Tournament where he was awarded the Christian Character Award. He is a Boy Scout � only one rank from achieving his Eagle Scout. Derrek is a recipient of the PLMST 2002 Debut Actor Award. Previous performances include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Mousetrap and Bottoms Up, and Deadwood Dick.

Justin Gohlke  He enjoys playing drums and is a Boy Scout. Previous PLMST performances include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Beauty and the Beast, Deadwood Dick and Rumors.

Marquita Gohlke Made her debut PLMST stage performance in Deadwood Dick and then performed in Texas Tacky and Rumors, and Seven Nuns at Las Vegas after working behind the scenes assisting with make-up and costumes for children’s programs. She has been married to her husband, Dale, for 18-1/2 years and is the mother of three. Marquita spends her time home schooling her children and as a church pianist.

Jamie Grasse. Although she wasn’t born here, Jamie’s family has been in the Calhoun County area since the early 1900s. She is married and has two sons, Chris and Sean. She lives in Point Comfort and is employed by C.C.I.S.D. She has performed in various plays at PLMST including Texas Tacky, First Baptist of Ivy Gap, Daddy’s Dyin’ and Kitchen Witches. She also directed First Baptist of Ivy Gap and Kitchen Witches.

Phoenix "Rusty" Henderson is a graduate of CHS and is employed as a Sargeant for the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department. Rusty enjoys spending time with his daughter Amber and riding his motorcycle. He is an active member of the Port Lavaca MainStreet Theatre Board of Directors. PLMST performances include Daddy's Dyin', Cheaper By the Dozen, Curious Savage, Noises Off, Don't Dress for Dinner, Best Laid Plans, Plaza Suite, A Bad Year for Tomatoes, Harvey,  Sorry Wrong Chimney, Face on the Barrom Floor, Murder is Bad but Monday Will Kill You, Dirty Work at the Crossroads, Rumors, Deadwood Dick and Greater Tuna. He also directed Sorry Wong Chimney, Greater Tuna and Murder’s Bad but Monday will Kill You.

Michael Hoffman is a Port Lavaca native and is employed at BP Chemicals. Michael and his wife Teresa have 3 children: Major (17), Marcie (14), who helped run lights for Over the River and Through the Woods, and Mackenzie (4). PLMST performances include Arsenic and Old Lace, Curious Savage, Life With Father, Best Laid Plans, Harvey, and Over the River and Through the Woods.

Wendy Kirchner is a native of Port Lavaca  and works as an RN, at Citizens Hospital. She enjoys drawing and painting and spending time with her nephew, Nickolas, and her nieces Kaylee and Camie. Her PLMST performances include Moon over Buffalo, Plaza Suite, Faith County, Harvey, The Odd Couple )Male Version) and The Christmas Angel.

Trey Mageluzzo (Trey) �Trey is a newcomer to MST stage.

He has been employed as a Data Processor at MMC for the past two years.

 

He is married to Sandy. They have two children Shanna (21) and Sasha (20). Also father to two dogs Zena and Bear and one cat, Simba. He plays drums in a band and also enjoys playing on the computer, and writing stories and songs.

 

Kyle Marshall was born in Port Lavaca in 1986 and is a senior at Calhoun High School. He works at HEB and is active in Marching Band and Yearbook. He also enjoys web design and spending time with his family and friends. Deadwood Dick is Kyle�s ninth performance at the PLMST. Previous performances include Life with Father, The Wizard of Oz, Charlotte�s Web, Alice in Wonderland, Scapino! 2002, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Mousetrap and Bottom’s Up!

Sam Mitchell is employed by Alcoa and CCISD Transportation. He and his wife Cheryl have 2 sons, Erk and Tristum and a daughter Pam. Previous previous PLMST performances include Pirates of Port Lavaca, Bench 18, The Taming of the Shrew, Texas Tacky, The Best Laid Plans, and Over The River and Through the Woods.

Jill Nicholson was born in San Diego, California and moved to Texas in 1980. She has lived in Port Lavaca since 1992. Jill is married to Todd Nicholson and has two children Jarred (13) and Logan (4). She works at a local bank and is an active member of the Point Comfort United Methodist church. PLMST performances include Blithe Spirit, A Bad Year for Tomatoes, and Harvey.

Dorinda K. Norrell is a native of Calhoun County and was involved in speech and theatre in high school. She is a court reporter and lives in Victoria with her husband, 2 daughters by marriage, and a menagerie of dogs and cats. Previous PLMST performances include Steel Magnolias (1995 & 2000), Driving Miss Daisy, The Foreigner, Curious Savage, The Glass Menagerie, Plaza Suite, Faith County, Blithe Spirit,Barefoot in the Park, and Over The River and Through the Woods. Dorinda was awarded the 1999 PLMST Best Actress award for her role of Norma Hubley in Plaza Suite and the 2000 Best Actress Award for her portrayal of M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias.

Larry Pointer (Larry) -Larry is returning to the MST stage after a two year respite. His past MST performance was as Constable Warren in Our Town.

He is currently employed as Business Manager for Our Lady of the Gulf Church and is Retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as a Warrant Officer.

 

He has been married to Kim for 28 years and is the proud father to Erin (24) in the Coast Guard, Christina (20) a sophomore at Mary Hardin Baylor and Alyssa, (13) who has appeared in Alice in Wonderland, Our Town, and Wizard of Oz. His hobby is riding motorcycles.

 

Dyanne Ragle  Just can’t get enough of PLMST.  Previous PLMST performances include Scapino!, The Mousetrap (for which she received the 2002 Best Supporting Actress award), Bottoms Up!, Butterflies are Free (for which she received the 2003 Best  Actress award), Deadwood Dick, Ghost of a Chance and The Odd Couple(Female Version).

Hollie Ragle is retired form  El Paso Energy. He enjoys woodworking, camping, sailing, spoiling his grandchildren, and helping to build PLMST sets. Around PLMST, Hollie is known as somewhat of a "miracle worker." He is the recipient of the 2003 Best Debut Actor Award for his role in Bottoms Up!, and was also awarded the 2003 Best Supporting Actor Award for his portrayal in Deadwood Dick! and received the 2003 Volunteer of the Year Award. He also performed in Sorry Wrong Chimney, Barefoot in the Park, Murder is Bad, Texas Tacky, Goodbye Charlie, Face on the Barroom Floor and Dirty Work at the Crossroads. He has also Directed Opal’s Million Dollar Duck, Texas Tacky, The Nerd, Rumors, The Odd Couple (Female Version) , Creature Creeps, Little Women, and  Seven Nuns at Las Vegas.

Jeff Rosenbrock made his MST onstage debut with Bull in a China Shop. He is an MST veteran, though, when it comes to helping backstage, food runs and anything else we ask of him. He is married to MST veteran Kim Rosenbrock and is the father of five. He�s employed with the Calhoun County Sheriff�s Department.

Kim Rosenbrock is a Port Lavaca native and graduated from CHS in 1985. She has lived in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Colorado. She and her husband Jeff have 5 children, Krysten (15), Lindsey (12, Mindy (12), Dilynn (6) and McKinzee (6). PLMST performances include A Bad Year for Tomatoes, Steel Magnolias (2000), and Harvey. She is Assistant Director for Robert Fulghum�s All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten.

Krysten Rosenbrock

Patrick Ryan Is a Calhoun County Native and has been involved in theatre since attending CHS. Pat is a long-time veteran of PLMST and recipient of a 2007 Outstanding Volunteer Award. His numerous performances include Life with Father, Daddy’s Dyin’ (97), Blythe Spirit, Plaza Suite, The Nerd, Rumors, The Creature Creeps  the Odd couple for which he received the 2001 Best Actor Award  and Over the River and through the Woods (2009).

Joyce Schaefer has been working with MST since the late 1960�s, appearing in a few recent productions including Taming of the Shrew, Moon Over Buffalo, Noises Off, No! No! A Million Times, No! Deadwood Dick,Face on the Barroom Floor, Dirty Work at the Crossroads, The Creature Creeps, and Little Women. She provided all PLMST costumes for about five years in the 1990’s. Joyce also enjoys entertaining at the Calhoun Country Opry.

Michelle Seneriz is a native of Port Lavaca. She is a graduate of Calhoun High School, Texas Vocational Schools and Halco School of Modeling. Michelle has been in several commercials and a music video. She enjoys playing cards, billiards, sewing, floral design, shopping, decorating and spending time with family and friends. Deadwood Dick was her debut on the MST stage. She also performed in Sorry wrong Chimney and Opal’s Million Dollar Duck.

Connie Siler and both her parents are natives of Port Lavaca. She moved during elementary school, moved back as a young adult, and moved away again only to relocate once again recently (permanently). Connie performed in dramas from elementary school thru high school and was stage manager and director of high school plays. More recently she participated in church dramas. She is a legal secretary by trade and served for 10 years as a politician. She is married to a wonderful man-- together they share 3 beautiful daughters, two handsome sons, one grandson and their second is due Dec. 2001.

Michael Siler was raised in the Great Pacific Northwest and moved to Texas two years ago. He is currently attending college in Victoria studying Drafting Technology. Michael has always loved drama and was part of many high school, college and little theatre productions. Bull in a China Shop is his MST debut. He will be directing for MST next season. He loves acting because it allows him to forget about himself and be someone else for awhile. He is very happily married, has two grown sons and 3 beautiful step-daughters.

Mac Sistrunk is a retired engineer whose current major interest is in various aspects of music. He sings in civic choir, church choir, and plays guitar and sings in church praise band. He plays cornet in the Texana symphony band out of Edna and volunteers with the Calhoun HS choir program helping with sectional rehearsals and UIL solo contest preparation. Mac's previous MST experiences include a role in MST's original production of Scapino!, a member of the band in Godspell, and a role in No, No, A Million Times, No, Deadwood Dick, and Face on the Barroom Floor.

Betty Stone is a newcomer to PLMST, although theatre is a part of her family life. Her daughter Marsha is a theatre teacher, and Betty has helped with sets and costumes. She is an elementary school teacher and a grandmother to seven. Her PLMST debut is in Over The River and Through the Woods.

James Sudik (James) James is returning to the MST stage. His past performances have been in Meet Me in St. Louis and Texas Tacky.

He is currently employed as a Paramedic.

 

He is married to Lara and the proud father to 3-year old Story.

 

His past theatre experience has been at Denton Community Theatre and Ft. Stewart Theatre.

 

Jody Weaver was born in Columbus, Ohio, but has called Port Lavaca home since 1980. She is the Co-chairman of the Port Lavaca MainStreet Theatre Board of Directors and is the director of the annual children's production at the PLMST including Life With Father (1998), Wizard of Oz (1999), Charlotte's Web (2000), Alice in Wonderland (2001), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2002), Beauty and the Beast (2003), and James and the Giant Peach (2004). She will direct the 2005 season's production of A Monster in the Closet. Jody also enjoys using her talents as the director of the drama ministry of the First United Methodist Church in Port Lavaca. A civil engineer employed by the City of Port Lavaca as City Engineer, she and her husband Larry have three daughters, Erin (20), Katy (17), and Meagan (15). PLMST performances include Texas Tacky, Daddy's Dyin', Curious Savage, Don't Dress for Dinner, Best Laid Plans, Blithe Spirit, A Bad Year for Tomatoes, Our Town, Harvey, The Odd Couple, Faith County II, Sorry! Wrong Chimney, and Barefoot in the Park. Jody received the 1999 season Best Supporting Actress Award for her role as Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit, and the 2001 season Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in Harvey.

René Mutchler Is a Houston native, but has lived in Port Lavaca for 20 years. She is a Court Reporter and mother to fellow cast member. Ashley Mutchler. She enjoys very much helping backstage during the PLMST Children’s Productions. In addition to appearing in several VCT productions, her previous PLMST performances include, Texas Tacky, for which she received the 2005 Best Debut Actrest Award, The Nerd, I Ought to be in Pictures, Dirty Work at the Crossroads, Rumors, The Creature Creeps, Odd Couple (Female Version) as Florence Unger,  Little Women and Seven Nuns at Las Vegas. She received a 2005 and 2008 PLMST Volunteer Award and loves to travel.

 

Ashley Mutchler First appeared in the PLMST Play Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She has been performing in the theatre regular season for five years, previously appearing in Face on the Barroom Floor, Dirty Work at the Crossroads, Rumors, and The Creature Creeps for which she won the Best Supporting Actress Award, Seven Nuns at Las Vegas and Little Women. Ashley also loves sports, academics, and getting really close to reaching her goal to visit all fifty state capitals within a year with her mom, fellow cast member, René Mutchler.

 

Taylor Shelly is a junior at CHS and loves to sing. She has been in Choir for 9 years and shared her talents with PLMST audiences in the lead role of last summer’s production of Dirty Work at the Crossroads. She found her interest in acting as a freshman at CHS, after seeing her friends perform In one of the children’s productions. Too old to perform in the Children’s Theatre, she enjoys helping backstage. Other PLMST performances include The Christmas Express, The Creature Creeps, Over the River and through the Woods (2009), and Little Women. She also played Wendy in the VCT play Peter Pan.

Simon Mackenthun is a foreign exchange student from Bremen Germany. He is a junior at CHS and a member of the Varsity football team. In the 3rd grade he made his acting debut in Die Kleine Hexe ( The Little Witch ). Little Women  was his first and unfortunately his last production with PLMST.

Daniel Gonzales is a junior at CHS and a member of the varsity football team, Choir, debate, student council, and Interact. Little Women was his debut performance at PLMST, He also played the part of  “Father O’Brien” and “Elvis” in Seven Nuns at Las Vegas.

Suthern Holladay  began acting during the summer of 2007 in Suessical at the VCT and played Zara in PLMST’s children’s production of Aladdin,  and Little Women. She enjoys acting very much. She is a Cheerleader at Travis Middle School.

Wyatt Gulsby made his acting debut as an Oompa Lumpa in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2002. Wyatt is a Life Scout with Troop # 243, plays in the CHS Band, and is involved in church activities. Previous PLMST performances include the title role in Aladdin, On Golden Pond and Little Women.

Mark Howell is a long ago graduate of CHS and returns to the PLMST stage after a 13 year absence. He met his wife Lauren during the 1995 production of Angel Street. They have three children Douglas, Shaughnessy, and David. Mark is an Industrial Engineer for Knowledge Based Systems, Inc. A contractor at the Corpus Christi Army Depot. Other preformances he has acted in include The Heiress, Heaven Can Wait and Little Women.

Kyle Boyd-Robertson is from Port Lavaca. He and his wife Paula have two children, Steven and Kayla. He was first seen on the PLMST stage in The Nerd and  has since played several parts in his church Drama Group. He and His wife run a small antique & gift shop in Port Lavaca called The Paper Moon and several Internet businesses. His passions are Collecting Postcards and Historic Texas Documents and meeting new people. His other performances at PLMST include On Golden Pond , Ghost of a Chance and The Odd Couple (Female Version).

Paula Boyd-Robertson has adopted Port Lavaca as her own town after moving here with her husband, and fellow actor Kile Boyd-Robertson. She was first seen on the PLMST stage in The Nerd. She has assisted in many of the Children’s productions that her daughter Kayla was in and is active in her Church Drama Group. Her passions are Meeting & Visiting with People at their Shop, The Paper Moon, Reading, Collecting Giraffes and Vintage Hats. Her other performances at PLMST include On Golden Pond , The Odd Couple (Female Version) and Seven Nuns at Las Vegas.

 

Sean Grasse Sean’s love for the theatre began in 2001 when he starred as an Oompa Loompa in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He has since participated in the children’s lays, James and the Giant Peach, Monster in the Closet, Aladdin, and since acted in the regular season productions of  The Christmas Angel and Kitchen Witches.

Amber Henderson Is a Cheerleader at CHS. She enjoys volleyball, tennis, basketball, and band. She is the daughter of PLMST veteran “Rusty” Henderson. Amber is a veteran herself beginning her acting at PLMST at age 4 in Cheaper by the Dozen. Other performances include The Wizard of Oz, Charlotte’s Web, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Beauty and the Beast, James and the Giant Peach, Monster in the Closet, Aladdin, Face on the Barroom Floor, and The Christmas Angel.

Johnny Krause is a detective for the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department. He and his wife Stacey have two children, Hannah and Caleb. He enjoys playing music in his band “ Tip Jar Romeo”, and playing sports, riding his motorcycle and being with friends. Active in College theatre Johnny made his PLMST debut in Texas Tacky and has since performed in The Christmas Angel and Daddy’s Dyin’.

Jeannine Griffin returns to the PLMST stage after an 8 year hiatus.

She made her acting debut back in 1997 playing mother in Cheaper by the Dozen. She is a Pediatrician at the Port Lavaca Clinic. She and her husband Paul Burnell have 4 sons, Griffin, Charlie, Randy, and Riley. Although she hasn’t been on stage for a while she helped backstage as stage manager for several children’s plays. Her latest plays include Daddy’s Dyin’, and The Christmas Angel.

Steve Branch  describes himself as a pharmacist, a fisherman, and a part-time cowboy. He is originally from Woodville, Texas and moved to Port Lavaca in 1992. Steve is the owner of The Prescription Shop here in Port Lavaca. Steve made his debut performance with PLMST in The Nerd.  He enjoys bird hunting, fishing from the “Lucky You,” scuba diving on tropical islands in the Caribbean, Cuban cigars, and the laughter of good friends.

Dylan Barnes is the son of fellow actor Ken Barns. Dylan enjoys acting and has appeared in several plays at the First United Methodist Church. Although The Nerd is his first performance in a regular season production. Dylan has appeared in several PLMST children’s plays including The Wizard of OZ, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and James and the Giant Peach.

Adam Beard was active in the schools drama department and has performed in two of the school’s productions, Hubba Hubba and Dracula. Adamis also an adult Scout Leader with Troop #243 and # 361. Adam achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and strives to get more boys involved in scouting. Adam is very energetic and adventurous and loves the outdoors. On Golden Pond was Adam’s first performance on the PLMST stage.

Jacquelyn Campbell has grown up in the PLMST children’s theatre starting at age 8. She received the 2001 Best Actress Award for her role as Alice in Alice in Wonderland. She was active in theatre at CHS and is now attending Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas. Previous performances at PLMST (other than children’s theatre include Face on the Barroom Floor, I Ought to be in Pictures, and Dirty Work at the Crossroads.

Jackie Rupley Is majoring in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A & M University. She plans to become a doctor someday.She also enjoys spending her week-ends with her family and watching Tivo’d TV shows missed during her busy week. She also enjoys travling and camping. She recently returned from a family trip to the Philippines where she gained a new appreciation for hot water. Her PLMST performances include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, The Christmas Express, and On Golden Pond.

Aaron Pina aspires to be a meteorologist. Aaron first appeared on the PLMST stage several years ago as the Gander in Charlotte’s Web. Despite having to wear a less than attractive costume stuffed with chicken wire, Aaron fell in love with the stage. Aaron recieved numerous acting awards while at CHS. His PLMST performances include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Face on the Barroom Floor, The Christmas Express, Dirty Work at the Crossroads, and The Creature Creeps.

Emerson Lane  Audiences raved at Emerson’s return to the role he portrayed in the PLMST first  production of Texas Tacky  in 1996. He was a member of the Calhoun County Crimestoppers Board and the YMCA of Calhoun County Board. Emerson has since moved to Beaumont, Texas. He is surely missed. His  PLMST performances include Driving Miss Daisy, Can You Save Christmas?, Noises Off!, Barefoot in the Park, and Texas Tacky again in 2005.

Lyndsey Myers  is active in the theatre program at CHS. Lyndsey first appeared on the PLMST stage as an extra in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2002 and then recieved increasingly larger roles, playing Mom in her last children’s production, Monster in the Closet. She also performed in the PLMST regular season  productions of The Christmas Express and The Creature Creeps.

Toi Dowell moved to Port Lavaca in 1998 after marring Chipper Dowell. They have one daughter Darbi. Toi was raised in San Antonio and after graduation she attended UT at Austin. She later trained as a court stenographer and has been working as the Calhoun Court at Law No. 1 official court reporter. Having love for the arts, she was involved in theatre in High school and while at UT. She received the Best Debut Actress Award for  her performance in The Odd Couple ( Female Version ).

Rebecca Ellard is a 1988 graduate of CHS She has recently moved back to Port Lavaca after living in Arkansas for 15 years. She received The Best Debut Actress Award for her performance in Rumors, she also performed in The Odd Couple ( Female Version ) and  Seven Nuns at Las Vegas.

Dale Gohlke enjoys hunting, fishing, playing music, woodcrsfts, and welding projects. Dale discovered his intrest in acting through his family ( sons Derrek and Justin, daughter Hannah, and wife Marquita). - all of whom have appeared on the PLMST stage. Dale’s performances include, Rumors, and The Creature Creeps.

Hannah Gohlke began acting in the PLMST children’s theatre as an extra in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Her last children’s play was Sleeping Beauty. The Creature Creeps was her first performance in the regular season productions. She also played  the part of  “Peaches” in Seven Nuns at Las Vegas. Hannah has been very helpful back stage in several regular season plays..

Kiana Padron found her love for theatre in her debut PLMST performance as the Queen in the children’s production of Sleeping Beauty. Her next performance was in Aladdin, then she graduated to the regular season plays  as Hannah Zitzen in The Creature Creeps.

Jeremiah Torres first appearance in a regular season play at PLMST was The Creature Creeps. Previous children’s productions Jeremiah has performed in are Monster in the Closet, Sleeping Beauty, and Aladdin, where he had the title role. Jeremiah enjoys playing basketball and being with his friends.

Sarrah Hunt Lives in Seadrift and is the mother  to her beautiful little girl Natalie. Her PLMST performances include Deadwood Dick, Sorry Wrong Chimney, A Company of Wayward Saints, and The Creature Creeps.

Casey Jones is the theatre director at CHS. He and his wife Cynthia, have two little boys, Blake and Bertt. In 2003 Casey graduated from McMurry university in Abilene, Texas where he received the 2003 Best Actor Award for his role as Nunzio in Over the River and through the Woods. He has worked on almost fifty productions as an actor, director and designer. Casey’s first performance at PLMST was as Nick in Over the River and through the Woods.

Jennifer Bednorz Enjoys having the chance to act . Jennifer has 3 children,  Zac, Zayn, and Zory. Her PLMST performances include Heaven can Wait, Scapino (1996), Our Town, Over the River and through the Woods (2001), Goodbye Charlie, Face on the Barroom Floor and Dirty Work at the Crossroads. Jennifer also directed Bull in a China Shop. She received the 2006 PLMST Chairman’s Award and received the 2006 Best Supporting Actress Award for her portrayal of Bella Yukon in Face on the Barroom Floor.

Theatre is my passion; I have been active in this for 10 years. She started at the age of 5 at the Victoria Community Theatre, held roles in “School House Rock”, “Annie”, “Christmas Story “ and many others.

In the PLMST Children’s Program, “Wind and the Willows” as “Toad” receiving “ Best Debut Actress” for 2006. Also for the same production the 5 year “Nailed It Award”. Stared as “Evilina” in “Sleeping Beauty”,and as “Cat” in “Thumbelina”. And as Sammy Porter in her firat PLMST adult play “First Baptist of Ivy Gap”.

Sheryl House  Appeared on our stage as Olive Madison in the Odd Couple (female version), Sara Lee Turnover, in Daddy’s Dyin’ Who’s got the Will, for which she won the Best Supporting Actress Award for 2007. She also appeared in Opal’s Million Dollar Duck, First Baptist of Ivy Gap and Ghost of a Chance. Sheryl has been active in community theatres in Andrews, Midland and Houston. Favorite roles include Gweneolyn Pigeon in the original “Odd Couple” in Midland. She is married to Jon House who knows more about sports than “Phil”.

Lindsay Albright  is a graduate of CHS. Her PLMST  plays include Scapino, and Bottoms Up.

Taylor Hunt Attends Calhoun High School where she participates in Volleyball, Basketball and Track. She has been in numerous PLMST children’s plays. Her first Adlut play was  First Baptist at Ivy Gap. Some of her favorite plays that she has been in include PLMST’s Monster in the Closet, James and the Giant Peach, Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty, and CHS’s production of Alice in Wonderland.

Heather Jennings Attends Calhoun High School. Her extra-curricular activities include basketball, drama club, 4-H, and FFA.She played the “Queen of Hearts” in the CHS production of Alice in Wonderland. She has performed in 5 PLMST children’s productions including James and the Giant Peach, Monsters in the Closet, Wind in the Willows, Sleeping Beauty, and Aladdin. Her first Adult play at PLMST was First Baptist at Ivy Gap.

Betty Birdwell is a native of Port Lavaca and is the past president of the Port Lavaca MainStreet Theatre. She is also an active member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas. PLMST performances include Texas Tacky, Daddy's Dyin', Don't Dress for Dinner, Faith County, Steel Magnolias (2000), and Harvey. Betty was awarded the 2000 season Best Supporting Actress role for her portrayal of Ouiser in Steel Magnolias 2000. She directed  All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, Daddy’s Dyin’, On Golden Pond and Over the River and through the Woods(2009). She also performed in Bottoms Up, Kitchen Witches, Texas Tacky, Goodbye Charlie and First Baptist of Ivy Gap.

Lorean Clauson  Made her debut performance on the PLMST stage as Sister “Maria” in Seven Nuns at Las Vegas. She is a senior at CHS and is on the Varsity Powerlifting Team. She enjoys art and spending time with family and friends.

Dina Eberle returned to the stage as Sister “Maria” in Seven Nuns at Las Vegas after a 32 year hiatus! Her previous acting experience was in Lowell, Indiana when her children were very young.

She moved to Victoria in 1981 and to Port Lavaca in 2002. Dina is a drapery seamstress and has recently begun as a real estate agent, working for Texas Real Estate.

Carla Hall is a registered Nurse working in Calhoun County for Excel Complete Home Health Care. Seven Nuns at Las Vegas was her first play to do on the PLMST stage in which she played Sister “Rose”. She has been a tremendous help back stage with both Children and Adult productions. She is the mother of  fellow Actress Tristian Hall.

Tristian Hall is the daughter of fellow actress Carla Hall, Her f irst play was as a Cloud Person in James and the Giant Peach, and most recently as Tody in Thumbelina. Tristan loves to sing, draw, and read. Seven Nuns at Las Vegas was her first adult play with PLMST in the role of  Reverend Mother.

Bobbie Welch (Bobbie) --Bobbie is a newcomer to the MST stage. She is a retired nurse and unit secretary. She is widowed with 6 children, 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She also loves to read and to travel. Bobbie is returning to the stage after a long hiatus, the last time she was on stage was in high school.

Elizabeth Westbrook recently moved to Port Lavaca from Kerrville. She and her husband of 40 years, Carl, have two children and four grandchildren. A nurse by vocation, Elizabeth has had a summer of playing hooky due to her relocation. She enjoys arts and crafts, handiwork and sewing. Deadwood Dick is Elizabeth�s debut stage performance after being handily persuaded by a couple of fellow cast members who attend the church where Carl (who helped in the ploy), serves as minister. Elizabeth saw fit to return the favor by helping Carl fall into the role of a miner in this production.

Alex Weed  has been involved in a few plays at her church, Little Women was her debut performance with PLMST. She is involved in the Student Council at CHS and is an athletic trainer. Alex also is active in the Environmental Club and Anchor Club. Her Latest PLMST role was that of “Baby” in Seven Nuns at Las Vegas.

Katy Weaver is the daughter of Larry and Jody Weaver. Katy was the recipient of “The Most  Memorable Comedic Performance in a Children’s Production 1999 - 2003” for her portrayal of Tweedle Dee in  Alice in Wonderland and received the 2005 Pat Jurek Outstanding Achievement in Theatre Youth Award. Her PLMST performances include Wizard of Oz, Charlotte’s Web, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Beauty and the Beast, A Company of Wayward Saints, Murder is Bad but Monday will Kill You, and Texas Tacky.

Lance Harlan is the Dean of Students at Jackson/Roosevelt Elementary School. He and his wife Carrie have two children. Trenton and Hannah. Lance is an excellent speller and helped his team come first place in the recent Kiwanis’ Adult Spelling Bee. Ghost of a chance was Lance’s debut performance with PLMST.

Emily Allen is a San Antonio transplant adjusting to life in Port Lavaca by stepping back into a place she knows best: the theater. Ghost of a Chance was her debut performance on the PLMST stage. She has lost count of how many plays and musicals she has performed in. Some of her work included Cinderella, Meet Me in St. Louis and My Fair Lady. Emily is currently a reporter for the Port Lavaca Wave. She graduated from Texas Christan University in 2009 with a degree in broadcast journalism.

While at TCU, she sang with the Forthworth-TCU Symphonic Choir ( in Carnegie Hall!!!) and worked as a reporter and producer for the campus news station.
